  • I love how he starts off complimenting the work that's being done then shows what needs to be improved with love. A lot of videos I see these days just bash people. God bless this man.

  • I second this, as a 21 year old, that recently took on the responsibility of preaching once a week for about a month in our youth services, this lesson slapped me in the face. Long story short, I very quickly realized that I need to not be a freakn hypocrite. I may have learned more those weeks than the students had. Anyways, if any other young men see this, Listen to his words. We are not perfect, especially me, so be on the lookout for temptation, it is lurking.

  • watching one's life is usually legalism, if one's life does not match one's doctrine then WE DO NOT KNOW THE LORD.

working hard to DO SOMETHING about it is usually legalism, the issue is a relationship with the Lord which is easy, in rest and not burdensome

  • We should bring people in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Then he will teach us. As he said call no one rabbi or master, because he is your master. If you feel torn up between different teachings in the bible, then accept Jesus as your Lord. Be honost with yourself and do what he tells you to do and pray about.

  • @Greavsieandsazzle Amen too that!!!!! the church today is a bussiness rather than a house of God. And it amazing that these bussiness type preachers for money have no conviction that what there doing is wrong. Jeremiah 23:1 Woe unto the pastors who scatter my sheep KJV

  • The Bible says this and tell us to do the following:

"Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your LIFE AND DOCTRINE closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers." (emphasis mine)

  • @IThinkTherforeIAm Probably the apathy/contentment and how gratifying it is to hear powerful sermons, yet our lives reflect no real change at all. As followers of Christ we need to take very seriously the message of Jesus and the redemptive narrative of the Bible. It's not just some nice motivational stuff to hear, it's real, life changing, powerful truth.. and despite preaching truth, if the truth isn't tangibly effecting our lives, then it's dangerous and un-biblical.

  • Pastors , I use the term loosely, are preaching the word and not living it because they clearly haven't been called to ministry. They use ministry as another form of making money, another career. They clearly don't realise the consequences of bad shepherding.

  • there are more parrots of the Gospel then comunicaters of the Gospel.

  • @NexusCapital Read the letter that Paul wrote to Timothy, if your Pastor or teacher is not in alignment with what Paul is teaching Timothy to do, then I would suggest that you lovingly and prayerfully find another church. If you want see a good video on how to be closer to God watch Pastor John MacArthur's "Does the Truth Matter Anymore?" It's a 5 part series that will def help you want to stand up for God's word like never before.

    Grace be with you brother

  • Im 25 and have been really turned off by this 20's something group I have been going to because the young pastor is always bringing prosperity into his message each time and talking about "If you can pay your bills or have this problem, thats not the life God wants for you" Sorry... but if you read the new testament, following Jesus from a worlds perspective doesnt always turn out with monetary wealth and good health. Does God bless us? Certainly! But its not always from a fleshly perspective.

  • unbiblical, UNGODLY LIFE
