Far from masterful, and possibly even further from beautiful, I am asking for all the critique I can get on this puppy.
We'll Meet Again, a song made famous by Vera Lynnn in the 1940's, is a song about leaving. For war? For college? For adventure? For romance? It's a song about leaving, and leaving those behind whom you love with the promise that you'll meet them again "some sunny day."
(Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that we would meet again some sunny day?)
Now, please realize, at the time I made this video, I've only been playing ukulele for 3 or 4 days. (However, it is tuned EXACTLY like the bottom four strings of a guitar, which I have only been playing for 5 months.) Therefore, the playing of the ukulele sucks, and so does the singing, because I'm concentrating so damn hard on playing the ukulele that I forgot how to sing! XD
Anyway. I'd like all the critique I can get. Thanks.
Sounded good! Ukes are strummed more by moving the wrist as opposed to the elbow. Most ukers strum near the end of the neck rather than over the soundhole. If you strum halfway down the strings, you'll get more sound. A great resource for uke players is ukuleleunderground do t com. Visit the forums and search for tips.
