Silks and Stage

Azzwoo got silks for her birthday which was very exciting, so she hung them up in the first available place and invited us round to play! I recently splashed out on an x-stage and so here we are jamming with it for the first time. I did record the first time I set it up and played on it in the garden, but haven't got round to editing it yet - been ill and then busy with a guest, plus there's a lot of footage and it's mostly very boring - hopefully I'll have something soon.

It was a fun night, and I have found a new addiction... I think I might be developing a penchant for aerial arts, although I need lots of practise... any excuse eh?!

Laurie and I watched this video together...and we were jealous for different reasons. She saw the trellis and said.."That's exactly what I want for my trumpet vines!" Of course I was checking out the X-pole! The silks work was awesome--am I right that the music playing was from the Star Trek orchestral theme music CD? I was interested in the handspring work also...the true grip and twisted grip variations. Awesome display of skills from you ladies!

Thanks Joel! The music is actually from Saint-Saens "Carnaval des Animaux" - I can't remember exactly which excerpts I put in - as I recall mine was "Persons with Long Ears" and the "Swan" is in there too somewhere.

Thank you! We didn't have music outdoors so I added it afterwards, trying to be appropriate to each "performance" lol
