The film was required to be a heist film and include a passport, a photographer named Eric Roddy, and the line of dialogue "I'm still waiting for your answer." "Recipe for Disaster" was directed by Zach Bales, it was written by Zach Bales, and it was produced by Zach Bales, Melissa Muse, and Eric Whitson.

It's winner take all in the annual chili cook-off, and Frank Potter is determined to win. There's only one problem: he'll have to beat Mr. Hooper, the winner every year. If only Frank could get his hands on Mr. Hooper's recipe...
