I almost feel guilty for not having done a Radiohead cover yet, because of their IMMENSE influence on me/music/everyone in the world. Phil Selway, to me, is the epitome of what I like in a drummer. Always tasteful, always plays for the song, but yet is always creative. He is also one of the most underrated drummers of all time, in my opinion. This track is a perfect example of all the traits I listed. Don't even TRY to lie and say that the ride cymbal groove in the second half of this tune isn't one of the coolest grooves... ever.

  • IDIOTEQUE COVER YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO

  • @samuelock I've been meaning to do one for soooooo long, hahah. I'll probably actually do it soon.

  • The amount of influence your covers have had on my style of drumming is absolutely crazy... You can now catch me listening to some of the weirdest stuff ever and learning the drums to it. I used to think technicality meant everything when playing the drums, but you've come to make me realise how important it really is to just give out a tasty groove. Absolutely LOVE the covers man, PLEASE keep them coming!

  • @TheMatadrum Dang man, that's just about the nicest compliment anyone's given me! I really appreciate the kind words, and I'm flattered that I've changed your outlook!

  • is this is the theme song for the Romeo and Juliet movie with Leonardo DiCaprio? it sounds ALOT like it

  • @MrBasementJams I have never seen the movie, but according to some Wikipedia research... it indeed is!

  • dude.indeed.very good cover.very good video.and i agree Phil is one of the greatest drummers/ he and smiley from Archive are my favourites.check archive-davgervisit to see what i mean.he is excellent.but i think that when you do a cover you have to be a little more helpfull.for the groovy part i had to download your video and put it in slow motion to understand what you are playing.but it was helpfull enough.thank you

  • Would be dirty to see you do a cover of Reckoner with all of the percussion parts added along with that wonderful drum beat in that song. By the way, great cover here. =]

On a side note would there be a chance you could tell me about what drum heads you use and how you tune your toms. They have such a full sound, something I very much want to achieve on my kit. I hate to be one of those people who ask about gear but I can't help it here.

  • Try Myxomatosis its a ridiculous groove. The time signature is a little hard to distinguish, but it is fun to play.

  • try out Optimistic..the small jam after the song ends grooves hard like this one.

  • Amazing A/V quality, but even better drumming. Flawless to say the least.

  • Your snare made my ears have an orgasm. By far one of the best snares I've ever heard.

  • I feel exactly the same way about Phil Selway, he is amazing. My inspiration.

  • Your absolutely f%$kin well kicking it in this one man awesome work!...as said before bring on more Radiohead coverage

  • Better than Cobus. A quarter of the views. Justice needs to be done!!

  • So good. Keep the Radiohead covers coming please =)
