Hocks have been injected, but still lame. Notice the left hind leg how he short-steps in the jog. Any opinions?

  • Is it bad to bring a lame horse to a show? It's a stupid question but I want bring my horse to a least 1 show berfore she gets old

  • @waterhorsez If your horse is lame, you really shouldnt be riding her unless the vet suggests otherwise. Also, if you bring a lame horse to a show, most of the time the judge will see it and disqualify you.... :(

  • my horse is lame too :((

  • I am so intrested in finding out how your horse is (im assuming) healed now! My horse does almost exactly the same thing. during this time i could ride him some but now he's at the point where he refuses to go forward! we've had 2 vets out and no one can seem to figure him out! what happened with your horse and how did you fix him? pleeeease let me know!!! :)

  • What was this horse diagnosed with? Looks very similar to what my boy is like.

  • This horse is gorgeous!! It is so refreshing to see someone who notices a lame horse. So many people out there are riding lame horses in pain and do not even notice. Any pictures of the stifle area? I am into barefoot trim now and it is constantly being discovered that the hoof is responsible for so much of what ends up going on every where else. I would always always check feet first with someone who is expertise. Best of luck!

  • I have a horse who showed a similar hitch in the trot. after several visits with different vets (who had varying opinions on what was wrong), it turned out to be a loose stifle. The "stifle" was injected and he was immediately 100%. Its been over a year and no further injections have been neeeded. Good luck.

  • @lilyhorsebackrider You must not know much about horses.

  • is he any better? my gelding is lame too :[

  • My pony is the same as this , he has had 1month and 2 weeks off , no better, had his back shoes off no difference. did you find out what was wrong with your horse??

  • stifle injured
