NEP's intentions were good but instead of creating a fairer system and moving towards meritocracy, it did the opposite: Lazy got bribes and Stupid were promoted (even CEOs). How do you motivate people? Makes things easier or give them challenges? What example is the Gov setting?

This so called Affirmative Action NEP program is nothing more than official race based institutionalized discrimination favoring the majority who control politics against the minority.

Consider the fact that the Chinese and Indians and other minorities go in par with the majority Malays in perfect equality and see if those negative attitudes will change. This Aff. Action is what is dividing us as Malaysians. This Aff. Action JUSTIFIES the assumption that the Chinese and Indians are not wanted as a part of Malaysia. Think about that for a moment before you spread such ignorance.

PS: Malaysia needs to realize that race does not exist, and it's a backward concept invented by the first anthropologists when trying to define human beings by groups. Truth be told, preferential treament is needed if the Malays even have a chance to compete against the Chinese, who are not natives but still somewhat rooted to the land. New Econ Policiy, in a way, is a public admission of inferiority, but ist quite justifiable for preservation and progression of the Malay race, at the expenses of others. The REAL solution is SEPARATION away from Malaysia into another Singapore like state, and all Malaysians will have a choice beetween the 2.

Every time someone here in the US claims that the fall of whites to a minority status will ease racial tensions, I am reminded of places like Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and South Africa, among others. The truth is that multiculturalism never works well, and usually leads to the unproductive majority plundering the productive minority (after the elites who put such policies in place get their cut, of course).
