@sweddehli is that all you can talk about is something from the sixtys ? is that the only engine that you can think of as a come back . well i can think of plenty im not hating on no brand like i said i like them all .

@derrickfromsomerset Do you remeber what happened when Ford made the 427 SOHC engine? The GM people shitted their pants and there were instantly changes in the nascar regulations. I love Ford and like all other v8 engines. :)

You guys are hatin on gm cause they been kickin the crap out of ford since the beginning of time , yes im a chevy guy, and im also a ford guy anything thats fast really, yall are just being winey

nasty--nasty sounding beast

@THEMASTEROFYOU2000 Thats the biggest load of crap i have ever read! The hemi was design'd for the sole purpose of racing at NASCAR and did it very well in fact too well! that's why it was outlaw'd there! . Keith black would have had a good reason to go with the mopar design dont ya think?
Aries tryd to stick hemi heads on chevs and we all know how well it turn'd out don't we, And as far as kids playing with factory mopar blocks is concern'd i think you really screw'd up with that statement.
-
@notjustadog It may not have been invented by Chrysler but The 426 hemi is the closest resemblings to a nitro engine, Sour grapes i think , if a nitro motor was based of a ford or chevy you guys would be jumping up and down at this argument, the hemi is and always will be a mopar Try fitting a hemi crank in a ford or chevy,
Sure as heck will fit a mopar big block
-
@THEMASTEROFYOU2000 It's a Chrysler 426 hemi design obviously beefed up for nitro methane and 50 psi of boost, but the design is 426 Hemi no doubt about it.

. CoolasIce2
hemispherical is a cylinder head design, an just because chrysler trademarked the word does not mean they have real "chrysler hemi's" in any of the nitro series vehicles, for back in the 60's and early 70's Keith Black engineered a hemi bloack and heads that could actually withstand the rigors of such racing. Factory chrysler blocks are for kids, as much as the old skool hemi cars were ate alive by BBC and SBF all the time
-
. Those engines spit bearings out after every third pass, and thier tolerances were set so loose they couldn't help it. If not they wouldnt turn over.
-
@With-out a supercharger they are powerless, sad but true. Lol, and the chrysler four speeds were such trash that I could skool any hemi-car with my 302dz at anytime, for they could never get one into second or third gear with-out grinding the syncro's into dust at every shift, which is why they made conversion bell housings and they all went to Ford Top-loaders.so.duh.big deal..
IN NHRA PRO STOCK THE REASON THEY MADE THE 500CID RULE IS BECAUSE BOB GLIDDEN WAS JUST BEATING ALL OF THE CHEVYS WITH HIS 351 CLEVELAND SBF CHANGE THE RULES TO RUN BIG BLOCKS GIVES THE ADVANTAGE TO GM..FOR SOME REASON IF FORDS WIN RACES THEY TRY TO CHANGE THINGS .TO GIVE THE GM GUYS THE ADVANTAGE
