Al-Amal: The Women's Economic Empowerment Program offers vocational-training courses to Israeli Arab women. Through its Cisco-led course, 21 women, mostly Arabs, recevied a computer technician certificate. The program, a collaboration by the Arab-Jewish Community Center, the Peres Center and Cisco Systems Inc, seeks to train women, most of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds, for work in high-skilled positions.
