See if you can get any of these so-called stars to day to do that. It was in Memphis Tennessee and it was raining buckets. We were under a small tent waiting in line to get him to sign stuff. The rain was pouring down and Mr. Williams was under a leaking tent, yet stayed for hours to get those things signed. What a true country gentleman.

Don Williams was once told by executives in Nashville that he would never make it because his voice is not the sound that country music wants to portray. He didn't wear the comical get-ups of the 50's and 60's country stars so his look was non traditional. Just goes to show that the music industry executives have no clue what people will respond to. I'll take Don over this rockabilly shit they're playing nowadays. And I have met him personally. He was signing autographs in the rain.
