Were about to replace our Gateway ( Broken hinge and fan failure) for a hp hopefully..

i want this laptop, it comes with 3gb RAM , amd turion 64x2 processor i thinks it is 2.2 GHz , an Nvidia shared graphic card (is the only thing i dont like) but i dont know, should i get this one or a Macbook , i have always use windows , i am also looking up for a gateway laptop but my dad says that gateways are not as good as hp, the gateway lap i saw was a kickass for gaming, i want the best of the best among these trhee options, pls give me your suggestions, but i think i ll get this HP

i just bought that one 2 weeks ago.

my specs are 1.87ghz intel core 2 duo, 3gigs of ram, nvidia 8400gs 256mb, 380gb hdd, windows vista home premium for $1099 at BB. Vista runs smooth and all the games i throw at it.

Although the heavy duty is bulky I kinda like the lift that it gives the laptop and ofcourse the long hours. Oh by the way mine is a core 2 duo 1.83Ghz. I used to be an IBM notebook fan... but now I'm definitely hooked onto HP Pavillion! Need to get my hands on that HP TV tuner to complete the package!! :o)

Also, I noticed that the webcam in the new one is not as good as the one in the 6607tx. There is a lot of noise and flickering dots. I was disappointed with the webcam. Do you have the same problem with your webcam ? Overall, except for the colour and the quality of the webcam, I love this laptop. Oh I also love the heavy-duty battery that came with it...feels like it lasts forever in comparison with the slim batt in the 6607tx.

I have 2. My office laptop is the black one- 6607tx. The 6875se white one was a gift. Although I asked for a Pavillion which was black what I eventually got was this one - 6875se which is white. I didn't quite like the colour in the beginning but I think I can eventually get used to it. The black one brings out the best in the display and looks very classy. But the keyboard on the new one is very very smooth. I have 3gigs ram and a 250gig disk, the rest I think is the same on all configs.
