我 是 天 空 裡 的 一 片 雲，
wǒ shì tiān kōng lǐ de yí piàn yún,
I am a piece of cloud in the sky,

偶爾投影在你的波心
Ǒu ěr tóu yǐng zài nǐ de bō xīn
accidentally cast a shadow in your wavy heart -

你不必訝異
Nǐ bú bì yà yì
You don't need to startle

更無須歡喜
gèng wú xū huān xǐ
or rejoice

在轉瞬間消滅了蹤影。
Zài zhuǎn shùn jiān xiāo miè le zōng yǐng
in an instant, the cloud will vanish without a trace.

你我相逢在黑夜的海上，
nǐ wǒ xiāng féng zài hēi yè de hǎi shàn
You and I met in a dark night at the sea,

你有你的，我有我的　方向；
Nǐ yǒu nǐ de wǒ yǒu wǒ de fāng xiàng
You have yours, I have my direction;

你記得也好，
Nǐ jì dé yě hǎo
You may remember,

最好你忘掉
zuì hǎo nǐ wàng diào
though it'd be best to forget,

在這交會時互放的光亮！
zài zhè jiāo huì shí hù fàng de guāng liàng
