It's exceedingly simply; there is a group of people who think you should suffer horribly because you're not in their club. That's an offensive notion. Whether god is real or not is irrelevant. Their beliefs inform their actions and the actions of these people are real.

@pinball281 We don't give a shit about Hindu's religion just as much as we don't care about their government. It's not something that's directly in our faces every day. Some atheists delve into Islam, because it's just as batshit crazy, and we've dealt with it more lately than in the past. It's all cause and effect.

@pinball281 Atheists exist in all cultures. We just happen to be in a country with alot of christians. The most annoying thing is that christians speak as if they know it all, and push their beliefs on people. If an atheist hasn't dealt with it, they are less likely to get upset over it. I personally have to deal with family members that can't get through one sentence without talking about god, and if I have a problem in my life, they say it's because I don't believe. Logic is better
