i have bought one of these and am buying a new cylinder kit (70cc) i am also buying a racing variator kit. but i am getting these because of a problem i had where it made a very loud and horrible noise coming from the engine, from what sounded like the piston i think, could anyone help me out?

I have a Benelli 491 scooter with original engine miraneli year 1999, goes like lightning, although the older of the Chinese scooters that kids ride leaves them at the start of the race. Regards from Serbia

Any Minarelli cylinder kits will work. Stage 6 produces 15hp in conjuction with a 21mm DelOrto Carb and Yasuni exhaust.
Scooter-attack has excellent kits. Look under Keeway for parts, the USA Benneli models use the same engine as the Keeway RX8. You made need to cut 2 cooling fins off of a Stage 6 cylinder kit or Athena cylinder kit (very eay) so they don't hang on the oil pump. Very very fast when kitted, easy 65mph and 70mph is possible.

Martin Racing Performance
We put a 72 cc (big bore) kit on one of ours which really improved the performance. We just need to change the rollers and consider a different exhaust to really get the most out of it.

Awesome vid,they look even better in real life too-like a pitbull,derestricted they go well,just trying to locate aftermarket/performance parts,if anyone knows where to find em post a comment :)
