Annual Barsana Dham Mela a Traditional Indian Fair
Noon to 5.00 pm
AUSTIN, TX, April 2010: From exciting elephant rides to engaging dance performances Indian music to a talking parrot sweet yogurt drinks to henna hand art and more — the annual Barsana Dham Mela will be the place to enjoy an afternoon filled with the sights, sounds and flavors of India for kids and adults.
Held Saturday, April 24, from noon to 5.00 PM at Barsana Dham Hindu Temple, the Mela will feature all of the favorites, like Indian classical and folk music, elephant rides, Indian dance performances, booths featuring a variety of delectable Indian foods, a bazaar with all types of Indian handicrafts, artwork, and clothing, village style roving vendors, pony rides, petting zoo and introductory talks on Hinduism suitable for people of all ages - kids and parents alike.
This years event will also feature game and prize booths, trackless trains rides, balloon artist and much more.
