With HLS share price now the lowest it has ever been in four years, the unjust incarceration of SHAC campaigners and the latest images of monkeys being abused inside HLS from the latest expose by ADI, there was no better time to stand up and show the animal abusing money men that HLS are a bad investment and we will carry on the fight to close HLS.

Around 300 people traveled from around the country (and some from around the world!) to gather by the Bank of England, the only bank in the world to give HLS banking facilities at the behest of the Government for a loud and vibrant demonstration against the financial supporters of HLS in the centre of London.

The march aimed to publicly show the financial investors, or even prospective investors, that we wont tolerate puppies being thrown around, monkeys being cut open alive and other innocent animals suffering in silence. Of our anger, passion, focus and determination to carry on the fight despite repressive laws and long jail sentences that some SHAC campaigners have received.

The march started off in front of the Bank of England with 20 or so journalists and photographers who followed the protest march around a circular route of 2 miles around the city's financial district.

  • but look at the woman there they are keen to wear make-up which had to be tested on animals before human use and some there have lether hand bags and jackets which was once the skin of an animal lol hypocrites

  • @jamie123ginge how can you tell that their make up was tested on animals? You're making assumptions without evidence. You can buy cruelty free make up you know. And have you heard of a brand called Vegetarian shoes? They make fake leather jackets as well as pretty realistic leather looking shoes. I think you want them to be hypocrites because you want to discredit them somehow - maybe be smarter about it next time..

  • so...you want the lab to test on people and kill them? That sounds like a much better idea! dumbasses...

  • @movinajovana its a lot more complicated than that "dumbass". It's about restructuring a profit driven, multi-billion pound industry.. sure testing life saving medicine needs to be addressed, but the majority of the cruel tests are driven by greed. Breeding and testing on animals is a massive side industry in and of itself.

  • Want to talk about taxpayer's money? How about that the extremely wasteful and inherently inefficient animal agriculture system is subsidized by "our" tax dollars. in any case, there are more important things at stake here than money. Animals are suffering and being tortured. I don't know what would have to be wrong with someone for them to not care about that.

As for me, I understand that the industry is run on consumer dollars. So I advocate veganism, freedom, and human rights together.

  • In the topic of eating meat, I have to put forward the fact that the onoces is on the meat eater to justify consuming animals, this is because they are the ones consuming meat and so they are the ones taking the actions and making the claims that it is okay, We in support of animal rights are opposed to this claim.

Other animals suffering pain and a young death in exchange for a relatively small amount of human pleasure is imbalanced so the meat eater is repsonsible to justify how this is okay.

  • Two Words!!!

    F*ck HLS!!!!!

  • Some idiot(s) out there obviously can't see beyond their own limited mindsets. If you're against animal testing, it doesn't mean you believe in testing on humans, though in the case of the above commentator, I'd be prepared to make an exception. All this testing of drugs has far more to do with fuelling the pharmaceutical industry than finding cures. We don't need an endless stream of drugs for our ills. We need to learn how to live differently

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha.........hahahah don't you guys have better things to do then protest about shit like this honestly

  • what a surprise the corporate scum bag bankers are into animal torture!

  • Im not putting anyone down, I have no complaints.

But people need to stop asking the Gov. permission, and just do it. look at Libya, it started with a few then before ya knew it the entire country was in the streets.
