Emily recently had a miscarriage, and to recover from this disaster, the family decides to move to New Hampshire. One fine day in the house clogged drain, Emily calls the plumber, and they discover a skeleton under the house, which is more than one hundred years.

Perhaps it is the remains of Mary Weaver, who disappeared along with his young son once in the winter, in the mid-19 th century. Her husband William said that they were lost in a blizzard, but the bodies were never found. Emily finds that pregnant again. From newspaper clippings, she discovers that for decades in the Weaver family for several wives and their small children (and sometimes still unborn) died under mysterious circumstances or were killed by their husbands. After some time, Emily begins to see ghosts, and the character of Nat is changing, becoming more gloomy and sinister.
