  • hey how do you place a sketch that you already have created and place it in a specific location?

  • @ujustgotbeat I would recommend making that sketch into a group, by selecting the entire thing, right clicking and clicking make group.

once that is done, import the location screenshot from Google Earth. then position your model with the move tool. If the model isn't to scale, use the scale tool.

    Hope that helps.

  • My get current view button has an error, can't connect to google earth ?

  • have you checked the FAQ's on the google sketchup website? this may solve your problem. if it does not, try re-installing both google sketchup and google earth

  • I've been making buildings for a while, but NEVER have known to align the axes! DOH!

  • OMG! this is awesome! Why google didn't think out this before? I guess they were waiting for brilliant people like you and make it with two separate free tools of theirs to make an awesome combination! Now with this I can make the House I live 3D just for the heck and fun of it :D Also in the college I study, I remember the first year I enter as CS Student, CS Profesor and Student (Juniors) where working on making an 3D Map of the University, but they never got it working lol "what a flaw!"

  • @creatinghartfordvt thanks! i got it all together and designed my hotel! great work!
