CRUISING ON A JONAS BROTHERS LOVE STORY SEQUEL chp 62

[Sheryll sat in front of the mirror as her hairstylist and makeup artist worked on her. She didn't notice as the dress was slipped on her or when her veil was being put on. But she could see Sam sitting a few steps away, looking back with the same expression on her face. Today is the day]
SHERYLL'S MOM: Honey, you look beautiful.
SAM'S MOM: Girls, put a smile on your faces. It's your wedding day!
SHERYLL: Can we go see the guys?
SHERYLL'S MOM: Of course not. The grooms are not supposed to see the brides until the ceremony.
SAM: But we really...
SAM'S MOM: Don't worry about them. Their stylists will make sure they don't put their tuxedoes on backwards.
[Sheryll and Sam were left alone after they stylists finished. Their moms kissed them on the cheek before leaving]
SHERYLL: So, I guess we just wait until the wedding starts.
SAM: I want to see Kevin so badly. Did you get a chance to talk to Joe last night?
SHERYLL: No, the boys were out late last night and I didn't wait up for them.
[Sheryll heard a knock at the door and went to see who it was]
SHERYLL: Who is it?
SARAH: You're maid of honor.
[Sheryll opened the door for Sarah]
SAM: Sarah!
SARAH: Hey Sam! You two look absolutely gorgeous.
SHERYLL SAM: Thanks.
SARAH: I heard the guys had some bachelor party.
SHERYLL: Did you get a chance to talk to them?
SARAH: Yeah. They're right outside your window by the way.
[Sheryll and Sam ran to the window and Sheryll flung it open. Kevin and Joe were standing below them]
JOE: Hey! I was going to climb the vines but I knew you'd get mad at me for getting dirty.
SHERYLL: It's ok. And you're right. I don't want you to ruin that sexy tux of yours.
KEVIN: Hey Sam!
SAM: How was the bachelors' party last night?
KEVIN: It was all right.
JOE: Frankie beat us at bowling—you'd think he'd give us a break since it was our party—then he made us pay for his ice cream.
[Sheryll and Sam laughed]
SHERYLL: Did you have fun though?
JOE: It would've been better if you guys were there.
KEVIN: Did you girls throw a party here?
SAM: No. We went straight to bed. We were exhausted.
MRS JONAS: Boys! You're supposed to waiting at the altar. Not playing Romeo and Juliet.
[Kevin and Joe blew kisses up to the girls before heading to the ceremony]
SHERYLL: Sorry, Mrs. Jonas.
MRS JONAS: That's alright girls. I know how you must be feeling. But don't worry. Everything will be perfect. Your fathers will be up to get you in 10 minutes.
[Sam nodded and they closed the window]
SHERYLL: How about a group hug?
SAM: I could use one.
SARAH: You guys will be fine.
[Sheryll, Sarah and Sam pulled into a tight circle]
SAM: Friends forever.
[After pulling away, Sarah could see that both Sheryll and Sam were in tears—happy tears]
SARAH: I should get going. I have to get into place.
SHERYLL: Ok.
SARAH: I'll see you out there.
[Sarah tried to hold her smile until she closed the door, but she barely made it before the tears were flowing—and these weren't the same tears as her friends'. Hers were of disappointment and regret. When she found out Kevin and Sam were getting married too, and that Sheryll was making it a double wedding, she started hating herself. Because she and Nick were never going to have the same kind of relationship, and she was to blame. Sarah quickly wiped away the tears and checked in the bathroom to make sure her makeup wasn't running. Then she headed out to the backyard and took hold of the bouquet of flowers that was thrust into her hands by one of the busy wedding planners. Sarah numbly took her place behind Frankie, the ring bearer. Sarah hadn't meant to look up, but she sensed someone looking at her. When her eyes met with Nick's, who was standing at the altar beside Kevin and Joe, the tears almost started again. Sarah turned her head down and gritted her teeth to keep her emotions from showing. She had seen it in Nick's eyes, too—the regret... This could've been their wedding, too. She could've been wearing a white dress and waiting upstairs with Sheryll and Sam. He could've been wearing the same white tux as his brothers. And this could've been their day. If Sarah could've done one thing differently, if she knew that this was where she and Nick would one day end up, she would've never left his side]

[Joe looked anxiously around, smiling when he saw people looking at him. There weren't many people, just their closest friends and family. Joe felt Kevin nudge him]
KEVIN: [Whispering] Stop fidgeting.
JOE: I can't help it. I can't stand still for very long.
NICK: Shh! They're coming.
[The wedding march started and the soft music coming from the piano drifted over the scenery. Joe relaxed a bit as he watched Frankie walking down the aisle in front of Sarah. If Joe were paying any attention to her, he would've noticed that she had a smudge of mascara under her eye, but his eyes were only for Sheryll]
