Don't try to protect your own place from a next door house's fire problem

I have never been this disappointed in a community. Which is saying something about the Hyphy Movement, the Uni-Mind including trolls, the San Francisco Bay Area residents who prove that it doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", the shallow girls who would say "wanna suck my pee" just to mock me, and the Oakland rioters.

Long story short, my place got threatened by a next door house that was burning because of a resident's idiot mistake. When I tried to do something about it, I got stopped and ultimately restrained despite the fact that I clearly could have gathered the fire extinguisher that I had in my place quickly enough. This alone is worthy of a YT video rant (consider I'm the same guy who had been scared when mocked out by a girl I had liked before when she implied she was a smoker because I was being immature about expressing my issues with second hand smoke), but what really adds fuel to this fire is that the people laughed at my expressing my understandable annoyance with my place being threatened by a fire that anybody in their right mind would, as I did, suspect being started by some idiotic mistake on the resident's part and me being forced to watch and not get something that could possibly, you know, HELP keep the problem from getting out of hand as easily.

Now apparently, they're thankful for my gesture, but it is clear they'd rather treat me as some child. This incident shows generally why I am annoyed by the community. If you think it's funny, let me know your house is under threat by a fire and has a fire extinguisher in it that you can easily get from it before the fire can touch the house when you're restrained and I'll be sure to laugh. Really, what the Link? (Dumb TwitchTV and its censoring of Link's name.) This is low, even for them. So clearly, they think being blind to their own issues is a bright idea? Yeah sure, pretend a problem doesn't exist rather than trying to do something useful about it. Best idea evar.

And I don't care if that sounds like Wisdom from the Gutter. This is absolutely ridiculous. Also, don't even argue about fire extinguishers being short range. Flame Vets in Battalion Wars are short range units, you don't see them being terrible at all outside improper play or inherent unit setup issues.

  • These are the most God Awful and incompetent authorities I've ever heard of. I mean, wow. That's quite a disturbing approach to a very dangerous situation.

  • @hardgamer7

It's not just the authorities who kept me from doing anything but watching and whatnot. The civilians did so too.

Seriously? They're Too Dumb to Live at best. The mere fact that I wasn't going to worry about being overwhelmed by ANY aspect of the fire should tell you something, especially when I'm amazed I even had ANY interest in the girl I mentioned in the video after her little mockery, considering I'm aware of what second hand smoke does.

  • @MasterKnightDH Yeah, I knew the civilians did so too, but it's not as shocking when they do dumb shit as the authorities themselves. But, yes, the civilians are not to be excused either. (They don't have their priorities straight, that's scary.)

  • @hardgamer7

Exactly. Do they even realize they're making their own choices? Oh wait, they do. They're just painfully indifferent or outright douchebags.

At least friends like you care. I just wish it did something more to help with bullshit like this.

  • Ugh, this is the second time the authorities screwed you over. It's understood that they might not have wanted you to head back in for safety reasons, but did they really have to laugh and say things like "You'll be fine!" when it's clear the fire's pretty big if smoke's flowing into your own? That's not comforting at all. Fires aren't a joke and certainly the fire department is the LAST group of people I'd expect to think that if they fail to put out a fire, it's no big deal...

  • @MarioMastar

I'm rather aggravated toward the community in general itself. They willingly were involved in restraining me from trying to do anything about the damned fire when they should have known better.

Jesus. People don't want me being a pessimist? They shouldn't be giving me reason to be one in the first place.

  • Oh my gosh!

Well, I'm glad your house didn't burn down.

  • @MasterKnightDH Yeah, that just sounds awful. Safety first or not, we're not stupid. If the whole building's blazing, we're not running back in there, but if we can help put out the fire, then let us. These stupid rules and laws trying to save us are stupider than wihtout.

I'm a pessimist too in a way. I feel like the future's gonna be bright, but the glimpse I see is shrouded by daggers, clouds, death, pain, and vulgarities. This world just sucks.
