@nicool722 The statement itself, the very words used, are condescending. "Let's see if you can follow this one." Deconstruct it. No matter how you slice it, it is a condescending statement. Now, I might understand her making that statement better if she were discussing a much more complex idea, though I would still be annoyed by it. But each idea she presented after making that statement was a very simple one.

Wow, she is condescending. "Let's see if you can follow this one," Katie -- your interviewees are not idiots. I know you think they live on some ignorant blind level far below your transcendant one, but it just isn't so.

But wait! One can never replace Dad hugs... the physical sensations are not the same as thought, ever. ??

if this is true then everybody with ego is...... it just does not go together with this.
Anyway, she knocked my belief systems cold for a full minute, thanx Katie.

Love is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. sure. there is no meaning to life except what we project in our own subjective universe. relationships that succeed usually do so by rose coloured ignorance. However some of us test the difference of the variance of the objective reality & what we perceive as objective from our subjective reality. The closer it is & the less variance, we can say that the yardstick we are using to measure people & reality by is a good percentage of accuracy.
brilliance!
