Over the past years, Germany found back its leadership, and it's now European first economic power and the 4th in the world. How do you explain this when we know that the country had to deal with the crisis as much as other European members? JEAN-LUC PROUTATYou're right, the German economy did suffer during the crisis as GDP for example shrunk by 5% in 2009 which is pretty huge. But they have recovered very rapidly and very dramatically. And Germany is one of the few countries in the OECD to exhibit the same levels of production and even a little bit higher than before the crisis with a very low unemployment rate, high employment figures also.
