I normally don't use six videos to put up something, but I've had a friend of mine agree with me that this is one of the best sermons we've heard. So many people hear the word "meek" and they think of some helpless coward who just lets people run all over them, but, as this sermon by Mark Kielar of First Baptist of Boynton Beach shows, this interpretation of the word "meek" could not be more far off from what it actually means. I highly encourage you to take the hour to watch all six of these videos. I do so because I'm sure, with God's grace, your faith will be strengthened that much more.

You can find other messages by Mark Kielar at the church's website:

This video was made by them. I only separated it in 10 minute sections and added the black text boxes. Wonderful messages are coming from there.

  • Comparing the virtue of being meek in Matt 5 is not the same as fruit of the Spirit meekness. The meek in Matt 5 bare fruit of the kingdom rule. The fruit of the Spirit is not subjective as it is Matt 5.One rules by law the other by freedom. The law can never produce fruit of the Spirit.

  • ... and then they label the horse 'insubordinate' because it refused.

  • Excellent illustration. One thing though that I might add to the horse analogy is that realistically, different horses have different levels of submissiveness and energy and require a different hand. And also, what is our assessment of a horse's behavior when it shies legitimately from danger and doesn't seem to be obeying its rider's signal? I think Balaam's donkey might be a good 'disclaimer' situation here. Because often bad pastors get on that horse and try to make it go into danger.

  • happy are those that expect nothing from others

  • petty, hypercritical, self-obsessed people like cold buckets of water, who are all orthodox but they don't have time for others.

  • Thank for uploading. The video illustrations is really helpful. Now I have a better understanding of the word "meek"

  • A good translation of Matthew 5:5, would be, "Happy are those that CLAIM NOTHING for the world will be theirs". They are a non-bragging person who is gentle, but still strong!
