i stole this book from my school not knowing anything about it. after not reading it for two years i decided to start and couldnt stop.

I found a copy of this book, and advance copy for editorial review, I thought it was one of the best books I ever read. I have met these people, so they seemed real to me. What was interesting to me was catching the transition from adolescent mentality to a real person. The only thing that felt very unreal to me was meeting his father in Jamaica. I can easily read two books a day and have read alot, I think this book has something special.

Brilliant book. Glad to see it's on the odd high school book list. I tried to get this on a high school book list and the school blocked it. Funny thing is that every copy was stolen from the school library. How's that for poetic justice?

The film is getting made by the same director who did Winter's Bone (guess she's got a bone theme.) I myself am damn excited to know it's going to be done.

This book seemed so generic to me . "I have a mohawk and a shearling jacket and I wear ripped t-shirts and doc martens. I sell skunk and I know meth heads." I haven't finished the book but those are my opinions so far.
