GEORGE ORWELL FOR PRESIDENT

Orwell proves that the wise man is not a man measured by his wallet, social status, or political affiliation, but rather by his unbending, unyielding need and quest for truth regardless of the pitfalls or promise. That wisdom holds no price tag, yet comes at the highest of costs.

The narrator reports that "Nothing was damaged", regarding his gun shot wound to the throat, this is incorrect. One of his vocal chords was damaged and rendered incapacitated. He was told by his doctors at the time he would never speak again, luckily this was not the case and he was able to regain his voice as his one working vocal chord compensated for the other.

Wallington is in Hertfordshire, not Herefordshire. What other factual errors in this film?

Totally agree. I think if you add Ayn Rand, then I think you understand the con game that the communist offered. Rand showed, unlike most intellectuals of the time, that communism, was not an ideal, but was flawed in it's function, it makes man ultimately less than what he is. 'Each according to his means, each according to his needs' might seem like christianity, but is a cynical manipulation. They want control, they must be stopped.
