@Homespunmusic That is the thing, they are blown out of proportion, and looked at more than the savage history of the Texas Rangers. Sure we can say the Comanches were savage, and cruel. But instead of doing that, let us ask "why?", because my people did not just do it for fun. The white settlers were killing off their food sources, encroaching on their lands, and forcing natives into death camps. It was the Holocaust before Hitler. The difference is; we were justified, they were not.
@MrChaos667 Sure thing. As long as we can tell the truth about the bloody and savagely cruel tactics perpetrated by the Comanches that necessitated the "Nazi-esque" tactics of the Texas Rangers of old. I'm all for an unsterilized look into history as long as ALL the wrongs and imperfections are exposed.
I am Comanche, and want them to tell the truth of the Nazi-esque tactics that the band of criminals, that came to be known as the Texas Rangers, used on my people and other Native Americans.
believe it or not I've had a few yo-yo's wanting to know why a Texas Rangers museum isn't in Arlington. while I am also proud to be a Texan(from Abilene) I do wish some of my fellow Texans recognize their state history
