  • I enjoy the Power Strokes myself, more now that I am paid by the clock hour and not flag time. I did have a very cool service manager who would make it up to you with PDI's and warranty electrical repair. Just rolled another '03 6.0 out today cab off head gaskets, injectors, HPOP, and EGR delete plus a few other mods. Definitely a advantage over a dealer shop with a private fleet.

Each shop, dealer or independent has it's own advantages and disadvantage. You just have to find a place where your happy and want to come to work everyday!

  • Great videos. Makes me want to put a camera in my stall. I work on vehicle, industrial, and commercial apps. I never remeber torque specs and alot of times I just run one of your vids to jog my memory. Keep up the good work. PS I left the dealer when the 6.0 was killing my pocketbook, now the company I work for has a fleet of them, plus Dodges. KARMA!!!!

  • @copeshide

Thanks for your support! The times have always been cut back, and it's even tougher these days. I always did and still do like the Powerstrokes,

  • Hey man, What kind of torque wrench is that ? I just recently became a tech and am learning the value of a GOOD torque wrench lol

  • @VegasBuggMan

Welcome to the industry! My torque wrench is a Snap On, digital 3/8 drive. It reads in in-lbs, ft-lbs, newton and in degrees. This tool has become invaluable and I highly recommend it!

I want to thank you for the videos on the EGR/Oil cooler replacement on the 6.0. I did mine over the weekned and your tips saved me a lot of time. I was able to complete the replacement in 9.5 hours.

  • @srmastertech Got my toilet paper oil and coolant bypass filters on, so I'm hoping that will help keep her running good. I really just wish there was a way to clear up stiction problems. There are things to relieve it such as the inductive heat flash for the FICM, but no real way to aleviate the problem completely, other than changing injectors...and that's only good until gum builds up on them again. I just try to keep my oil clean.

I thought that way too when I first started working on the Powerstrokes. With your truck only at 100K, you have a long life yet to come for your truck. Failures can happen, so just be prepared cause it is still much cheaper to repair that it is to but new, especially with a Powerstroke!

  • @WarmothGuitarist

Thank you very much for your support and faith in my work. I do take a lot of pride and try to share that in my videos. As for the intake, we do have a hot parts washer I first clean it in, then I use a pressrue washer to finish the cleaning.
