dude that is sick as fuck, what is your cymbal set up and what snare are you using it has great pop to it!

cymbal set up is all zildjian. the placement is constantly changing but in this set up from left to right: 20' Oriental China. 14' A hi hats. 18' A Custom Crash. 20' A Custom Crash. 20' A custom ping ride. I made a stack from a broken 18' A custom crash and a broken 18' oriental. (When I go to the right side of the kit, thats the other trash sound you hear.) and finally I have a 20' Crash of Doom.

The snare drum is an old pearl Chad smith signature. Remo Emperor X on top, Clear ambassador snare side on bottom. bottoms tuned medium, top is tuned anywhere from loose-ish, to cranked high. I think here its somewhere in between

dude, you are sick as fuck!
those axis pedals?
hmm
my band is doing a cover of miasma next week, but i have pearl eliminators, but i thnk those are kida sluggish.. what pedals do you use, and what tension etc..?
drummiebear 2 years ago
The pedals are Trick Pro-v 1 long boards. so amazing.
It's not really about the pedals you use, it's more about how you use them. Mess with the spring tension and counter weight (I know eliminators have a counterweight, right?). The eliminators can be some of the fastest pedals around. But then again...it's all about the player, just build up you strength and you can make any pedal fast as fuck.
My spriing tension is medium to loose. I like a heavier throw for more power

I set my beaters back a little farther too.
