Got to Preston just in time to see some of the last remaining few. Thanks

Very much appreciated. When I was staying in Preston in August 2005, I realised the Preston Bus Lynxes had the newer less good sounding reduction hubs. I finally found one that had old style reduction hubs sounds, F211 YHG but listening from my hotel room, I suspected their was another but couldn't figure out which one. I suspected it was one of the GxxxKRN's as I saw one of them on an early morning service but was not in service during the day.

The Fishwick sound recordings you are referring too, it was I that recorded them. They went well but there was at least one more of that type in service at the time which I wish I had located. The website is still going but has not been updated for some time.

There were some odd buses in the Fishwicks fleet with AN69 Atlanteans A462JFV the only one that stayed in the UK and a prototype LT T class Titan. They were the nearest bus operator to the Leyland bus factory and was mainly an all Leyland fleet. There are some unusual Lynxes too with TL11 Engines D25VCW and D30VCW spring to mind and I may have some sound recording of them somewhere from a now defunct website with ZF gearboxes fitted.
There's a really odd bus on the film that's and AN69 atlantean operatiing for fishwicks of leyland. It was a short lived expeirment of keeping the atlantean in production but to EU regulations in 1984 put these buses out of production. Another uncommon bus is the DAF SB120/200 with fishwicks again that are not comon unless you are in an arriva operating zone for buses.

Ah, thats what you get to see when you watch my video right to the very end. Yes got to admit it was a strange old thing and certainly generated interest from me. I was pleased to see this one. Thanks for your information on this bus.

A quality video once again but could you do me a favour if possible? I don't know if you can look at the original video and find out the reg or fleetnumber of the two Lynxes appearing at 3 min 20 and 3 min 40 ? I'm curious.

I can do, but I have to remember that this video is heavily edited and lots of the original have been cut. However I will do my best to check it out soon for you, if this helps I know that F213YHG kept making an appearance that day. Will see what I can do.
