As well as in personal correspondence, the ICRC has addressed this misrepresentation by several other means. In 1975, the ICRC wrote to the Board of Deputies of British Jews in London regarding Harwood's citations, stating:
The figures cited by the author of the booklet are based upon statistics falsely attributed to us, evidently for the purpose of giving them credibility, despite the fact that we never publish information of this kind.

@Oblationem The lower numbers are due to the fact that the Soviets "purposely overstated the number of non-Jewish casualties at Auschwitz-Birkenau," according to the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Holocaust deniers insist that the number of Jews killed therefore be lowered by at least 2.5 million. However, the plaque had never been used as an accurate historical source by mainstream historians. As early as the 1950s, Raul Hillberg estimated 1.1 million Jewish deaths in Auschwitz.

Even the Auschwitz museum has lowered the number of Jews killed there from 4 million to 1.5 million, and Red Cross records reveal far fewer than 1 million deaths, it does not bode well for the number six million. Unless there’s a new kind of math where six million minus any sum must always equal six million.

@Oblationem For the love of God, pray the rosary and let go of your pride. The Vicar of Christ reigns, not perfectly, not even ideally, but he does reign.

Laudetur Jesus Christus!
I would really like to visit these beautiful traditional Catholic persons. May God bless them with many vocations.

great video

Good video, but these monks are no longer Traditional Catholics. They have given-up fighting for the true faith and sacraments and have accepted Roman Protestantism. Sad but true. There is no Deo Gratias here. God didn't have anything to do with this, it was of their own free will.

award worthy --thank you for this .

That was a great video, especially at the end.
i was so lucky to meet 6 of the brothers on board a flight from Rome, we talked and laughed together, I was the flight-attendant, and at the end of the journey I received a beautiful rosary from them! Very special to meet these monks.
They are special people! Thank you Brother Ivan for the youtube site and your mail address! Super!

One of the most beautiful videos on YT. God bless these wonderful, gentle men of God and their deep and passionate concern for all of us on this earth, and their longing for us all to be heaven with Jesus forever.
