"Shooting Stars" (Original Song- With Help From Pablo Neruda's Poem # 20)

Here goes nothing. For lovers of Pablo Neruda I apologize to you if I have here defamed his writing in any way. That would be monstrous of me. But I took a notion to base a song on "Tonight I Can Write". The potential for disaster here is enormous because he is one of the finest poets to ever grace the planet. And it is a very special poem to me. Yet I have done this thing. For better or for worse. Oh, and the song is a little long, so sorry about that. But it is quite a poem (his original, not my adapted verses that follow.) This is my October entry for the "Bring the Song Challenge" from grumpycoyotetunes.

The stars cant possibly shiver
In the velvet blue.
To think tonight
I dont have you.
Ill write the saddest lines
Because I loved you.
And sometimes
You loved me too.

Chorus:
Ill never hold you in my arms
Ill never kiss you under shooting stars.
Shooting stars.

I think I do not have you.
I feel that I have lost you.
To hear the night,
Immense without you.
My soul is not satisfied
That it has lost you.
In the distance someone sings.
That is all.

The same white trees,

The verse falls to the soul
Like dew.
My voice tried to find the wind

(The chords are a mixture of A, Asus4add9, Asus4, F#m, and another one that I don't know what it is.)
