I am a none smoker but I know many that uses smoking as a way to keep warm during the winter around here(Scandinavia) + he is a nervous hermit, needs something to calm him

@Bancroft98 I'll explain that: a singer may smoke to modify his voice (smoking a lot let the diaphragm go down and it gives you more basses). Another reason may be the need to create a character from a visual point of view. However the fingernails (on the right hand) for a guitarist affect his playing this way: the more they are hard, the more the sound will be edgy. The length may be a problem if the nails exceed 3-4 mm. The left hand should not have nails. All is reversed for left-handers.
