@RoyStantz : Wow. I don't even know where to begin. Normally I just delete posts such as this, but hey, you wrote a manifesto, I should at least respond. Nowhere did I say 'The Saturn version sucks' or 'Man, how come they couldn't port this correctly'. I said - "Seriously Aerosmith, wtf were you thinking?" because in all honesty, this game isn't a heck of a lot of fun, and it's even less fun than the arcade version due to the lack of light gun support.
@RoyStantz Now let's look at Street Fighter Alpha 3. Once again, on the Saturn, you needed the RAM Cartridge, and on the Playstation, the characters were missing frames, and the backdrops were inferior. So if those consoles couldn't make a perfect port of Street Fighter, how are they supposed to make a perfect port of Revolution X?
@RoyStantz For example, let's take a look at X-Men vs. Street Fighter, which was both on the Saturn and the Playstation. Now the Saturn version was arcade-perfect because it had the additional 4-Megabyte RAM Cartridge. But the Playstation version didn't have Tag-Team Mode, and the characters were missing frames.
Now one of the major reasons the Saturn and the Playstation versions of Revolution X got bad reviews is because people like you, icbrkr, were expecting perfect ports of the arcade game.
Now, I'm not a programmer, but, I don't think the Playstation and the Saturn are capable of making a perfect port of Revolution X.
Steven doesn't even mention this game in his book.could it be that bad?
