The Viennese Born Beauty with the gorgeous voice sings this wonderful aria, Quando m'en vo' soletta, from the opera La Boheme, composed by Giacomo Puccini
Out of all the soprano singers i have listend to, Hilde comes out Top's. I have most of her recordings and number one on my list is Musetta's Waltz Song, and this redition is the best so far. I have listend to Hilde for the past 55 years and was saddend when she passed away in 1988 but i still have my memories and her recordings which are my most treasured possessions.
Hilde Güden (* 15. September 1917 in Wien; † 17. September 1988 in Klosterneuburg, Niederösterreich), geboren als Hulda Geiringer, war eine österreichische lyrische und Koloratursopranistin sowie Kammersängerin.
I simply can't believe that her voice has been stilled forever...
Of all the Musettas, she must be the most feminine, the most passoinate, and the most artistic: she is another Rusalka -- a Rusalka that embellishes all women. I don't know if Puccini intented it, but , if not, her arpegiation of the last chord is a small stroke of genius... Thank you!
Simply fantastic. A great voice and a pleasure to the ears.
