  • Did yu feel raped when you aligned yourself facist germany?

  • Are you sure about that? That would be like 'The Pianist' or 'Uprising' not being released in Poland.

  • Monty - Yes I like some European films to

like Run Lola Run, das boot was good also. the European format is Region 2

so all you need to do is Buy a region free DVD Player.

  • i want to see this and Children of Glory, i think both are hungarian films. I also want to see Katyn which is polish.

There are a bunch of good foreign films. A very long engagement, das boot, europa europa, the counterfiters, to name a few.

a problem i have is that a lot of the dvd's, specifically children of glory, can only be found in european format. So i have no way i watching them here in america.

  • its a documentary so Not really gonna be in most theaters. Usually Hungarian films suck, I have Hungarian heritage so i do want to see this. Thankfully foreigners like our Movies. Ive seen some good European films also.

  • THE BRIDGE AT ANDAU is an excellent account of the revolution and gives great insight into the torture chambers on Stalin street, narratives on escape journeys, and the plight if industrial workers in Cspel

  • My father was part of the revolution. He was a young university professor when the Russians attacked Budapest. My father wanted to stay and fight. I grew up there and when my parents died under mysterious circumstances I escaped and now live in the US. I will never forget those nights when the KGB dragged my father out of the house and jailed him for weeks at a time for not saying the right things. I met Laszlo a few years ago and we spoke about his and my experiences.

  • is this anywhere in america. i can't find it in theatres. I want to see this and Katyn. Our american films suck as of late, thankfully foreigners are making up for it.

  • About six months ago I just happened to read THE BRIDGE AT ANDAU by James Michener. An excellent account of the 1956 revolution. Some very hairy stuff . Highly recommended!

  • Yeah, and also The Soviet Story.
