Your situation is almost impossible to imagine.
But if you google 'flooding' you will see that these problems are everywhere around the world right now. Though yours is, of course, surely unique.
I really hope we will figure out a way to preserve your very beautiful world.
(Start talking to zoos about some of your
unique plants and animals. Brookfield Zoo has a beautiful butterfly garden. I bet we're not the only ones!)

Interesting angle to start an interview, but I think Nasheed handled it well! I am sure this passion will help his cause. I only hope that humans have enough empathy to act sufficiently and quickly enough to stop this mess.
