when you purchase a home in a hoa area and dont know before you purchase and nothing is in your contract,the hoa should bug off!forced hoa is communist.and i never signed any paper to agree on anything connected to hoa and i will never sign.you greedy contolling bastards can go to hell!

@ocdist No one is ever FORCED, it's a community vote. You only buy in if the neigborhood is under HOA and you would sign a form saying that you are aware of a HOA. You don't have to buy the house in that neigborhood, you just want it, cause it's in a nice neigborhood that happens to be under the control of a HOA. So bug off, and just move into the getto where you belong.

tinkerton. i am buying my home through a fixed loan from a bank.when i purchased my home,the home was in federal government hands.and when buying a home from fha,they dont have to contact a state level hoa to allow a person to buy home.at one time,my home was sold through a home seller that was also in control of the local hoa.i have been here 2 years and i dont allow the hoa basterds on my property.

tinkerton.i did not sign anything.i purchased my home after it was foreclosed and then owned by hud.i did not sign anything for hoa,because the contract was from the federal housing authority and when i closed on loan,the hoa didnt know i closed on contract until after i moved in.it is a fine line.i did not have a paper saying i had to join if i purchased home.i went through contract close with lawyer.if the hoa wants to steal my home,i didnt and wont ever give them permission.
