In November 2010 The Sagemont School performed Dracula. Out of 40 schools in the state of Florida they were chosen as a mainstage at the State level! They also were nominated for 10 Cappies and won 5 including:
Props and FX- Chris Merlino, Isabel Rangel, Tyler Stanley
Makeup- Isabel Rangel, Emily Maddox, Cristina Quintero and Pilar Irarrazabal
Ensemble in a play- The Vixens
Lead Actor in a play - Dean Malahias (Count Dracula)
Best Play of the year

Lighting and staging was used for most of the rapid scene changes. A sense of fear and claustrophobia was achieved by having actors actually use audience aisles as passageways for transitions. ( I directed the show)
