Treebeard in Fangorn Forest carrying the little Hobbits safely to the other side of the Forest.
The chant is called Verses of Protection translated in English from the Pali Buddhist tradition.
These chants were given to the monks living in the Forest at the time of the Buddha, so they would not fear the creatures of the forests, but radiate loving states of mind to all living beings including ghosts, spirits and such so they would in turn protect, the human who loves them. The idea is to put oneself in harmony with the equanimity of the nature and by creating loving thoughts to protect oneself from harm
The translations sometimes too literal do not carry the original meaning well. For example, the last part in Englist says "may the creeping things go away" but the original Pali version does not ask them to go away, just to not harm the one who gives them love
what song is it?

@danyvan01 This is an ancient chant in the Pali language translated into English. It is a kind of peacemaking wish to cultivate a feeling of lovingkindness toward all living beings, of all forms of animals from snakes with no feel to spiders with many feet. One becomes more peaceful and loses fear of other creatures by reciting it
