as i mentioned i could really care less, the immediacy of my concerns have zero to do with skin colors of any sort...lot more interesting things going on than that! However it has been experience, and its fine!! i never was insulted, just observant, always objective, and just found this video interesting in subject matter...i personally have no quarrel with anyones choices for whatever reasons they want to do it...i always tell people.."do you"..and mean it!! all good!

@APGifts Good post. I've heard of this study. Thanks for breaking it down. I'm going to research further. Most American black people have the idea because they're dark skinned or even brown skinned ... that they must be 100% black. When the truth is a person who may have light skin could actually have more true black/African/Hebrew blood than a dark skinned person. (I mentioned Hebrew blood bcuz the ancient Hebrews were black...read 'From Babylon to Timbuktu' by Rudolph Windsor).

@T74G That's interesting you said that. Because most of the dark skinned men I know are not interested in dark skinned women (not for relationship ...maybe for booty call only). So all of these dark skinned women you know who told you they don't like light skinned men, what dark skinned men are they dating??? I'd really like to know. In my experience on the west coast and the south, I've seen many dark skinned women with light skinned men. Is this issue just in your town or just w/you?

Pilar Ossorio a legal scholar, microbiologist and bioethicist states that race isn't something biological, it is a social construct. We all have diversity and I personally believe environment plays a huge role. A "spanish speaking" person should show courtesy to a non-spanish speaker instead of making assumptions based on physical features. Since when did spanish speaking folks think that they all look the same to confuse black people with being spanish ? Misconception
