Es impactante la enorme humildad de La Caballé. Caballe see's the potential...its not a big voice here but the placement is correct and ...its pure bel canto singing at a very young age the voice just isnt developed yet...but if you listen closely you can here unbelievable potential...it is actually more difficult to sing on pp for alot of singers...this voice can only get bigger and better,which it did ,Caballe was right! ...there is no wobble or horrible over used vibrato...perfect pitch and flexability.

Personally, I feel that her singing here is not good. Maybe it's the poor quality sound but her sound is faint and weak. Her technique is dull, colorless and unimpressive. I don't know why Caballe, in Spanish, calls her magnificent and praises her vocal coach. Maybe Isabel Rey became a much better singer (she's only a student here) Her singing is too much like a child soprano. Even Isabel (in Spanish) says she was surprised that Caballe praised her instead of offered criticism.

@Glenmed Thanks for sending me the video, Barry. She was very young and sang this terribly difficult aria well. The pianist was superb, congratulations, he helped her the way a pianist always should, it's a dream to sing with such a pianist!
