Stunning. And throughout the 80's she was widely regarded as some MOR pop singer. But with this voice, that tag is unfair. One of the best vocalists to come out of the UK

This singer is so underrated. She has talent to burn.

She includes the third verse on her album recording of this song. It explains the relationship between a boy and a girl who dies in childbirth and makes sense of the ghost in the last verse. Dickson was born to sing songs like this and one day people will realise how brilliant she was and still is. Go see her on her next tour please. She's still amazing in her sixties.

Amazing/ This is the best version of this song and it's been covered by many talented artists. Definately what she was born for.

Kenrew,
I keep coming back to this although I am not the greatest " Folk " fan.
Beautifully performed by surely the best Folk singer Britain has produced, which is remarkable considering how excellent she is at Rock, Country, Ballads, etc.; and we all know that no one else has ever covered Beatles material with anything like the success that Barbara Dickson has.
Magic.
