Scott Murphy not only supported a loophole allowing AIG to award huge bonuses to executives, but he approved huge bonuses to executives at a company losing money.
You have to be kidding me. This is SO dishonest. Before the stimulus, the bonuses were entirely legal. The stimulus did not authorize the bonuses, it merely failed to outlaw them. Is that worth throwing 3.6 million jobs out the window for? No, didn't think so. Besides, Scott voted FOR language that would have outlawed the bonuses.
Not only are the AIG bonuses a contractual obligation, but they're chump change compared to the [trillion-dollar?] "Stimulus". [A trillion dollars is a million millions.] They administration and its allies are feigning outrage over these bloody bonuses to deflect attention from the real problem, the "Stimulus".
