The Avett Brothers hail from Concord, North Carolina and have been playing their unique blend of country punk, "grungegrass," and pop for several years. They have done it the old-fashioned way, working their way, playing shows, winning fans one at a time, often by word of mouth.
Their first "big label" album "I and Love and You" was just released Tuesday, September 29, 2009.
The Avett Brothers- one of the most talked about up-and-coming bands of 2009, and sure to be on the scene for many years to come.

@Seawave777 Not gonna lie. This is my least favorite performance of theirs. Scott(banjo) was kind of off here. Seth(piano) is more consistent, & he can belt it out or sing it sweet as honey. But when Scott is on, MAN is he on.This song IS kinda monotone compared to their other stuff. Try Laundry Room (Bonnaroo version), Go To Sleep, Kick Drum Heart, & Talk On Indolence if you want something REALLY exciting. Murder in the City, If It's the Beaches, Bella Donna, & Souls Like Wheels for soft stuff.

Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons both wonderfully refreshing in their own separate ways...very "real" and God knows we need something real in the face of all the over produced crap out there today.
