On Sunday, January 8th, 2012, ImprovAZ organized our 4th No Pants Light Rail Ride in Phoenix, which is part of Improv Everywhere's global No Pants Subway Ride. About 250 people dropped their pants and rode the Light Rail through Tempe and Phoenix. We disembarked in Tempe to grab a drink and relax before heading back onto the train to confuse a whole new group of people.

@ecoRfan Part of the reason is Improv Everywhere, who has been doing this for 11 years now, started encouraging other cities to all participate in their No Pants Ride. They set the date (Jan 8th this year) and other cities, like Phoenix, all chip in.
It's coordinated worldwide underpants!

What's amazing is that nearly EVERY metro known has people doing this. What is the motivation I wonder? I've ridden the Phoenix lite rail, I loved it, but even a young system like that is doing it too. Amazing how things spread.

I don't understand the whole point of " The No Pants " thing!!!!! Is it to lower our inhibitions or what??? Next thing you know they will be doing what they do in Japan..... His and Her bathrooms and showers!!!
