In 2010, Perth Zoo staff hand-raised four baby Numbats. To assist with recovery efforts for this endangered species, Perth Zoo breeds Numbats for release into wild habitats managed by the Department of Environment and Conservation.
youtube is blocked from our schools here in western australia. i used to watch movies about rare australian animals all the time with the kids. if the kids didn't know about an animal we could just look it up and instantly find out about it. it was great to encourage children to look after our wildlife. i hate that we are such a nanny state.
Hello, your video is amazing. Do you where I could find, or do you think you could get me a sound recording of the sound numbats make? If you could, please email it to me in "foxybunny.ent" at gmail, thanks.
I love numbats so much! I wish more people knew about them. It's wonderful what you guys are doing for them!
