I do believe this sport to be more rewarding than death in a bloodsport. I am impressed by the dog's determination and the approval that it seeks. It is truly a rare breed and one that should be preserved for its tenacity and loyalty.

If thats abuse then is it abuse to throw a stick in the water for a Lab .Is it abuse for policemen to train German Shepard's to attack ? or Australian Shepard's to herd sheep .No its in em to do this stuff .Just like blood hounds ,Coon hounds ,Fox hounds .Dalmatian's were bred for hunting now look at em the hunts gone and they are just show dogs .Get the fight out of them but replace it with something substantive like pulling ,guarding ,not catching frisbee's it gets expensive real quick

i have a working pit bull, doesn't do weight pull though you cannot let your 2 month...now 3 month pull any serious weight! you can train them the fundamental motions by dragging something like a bicycle tire. you have to wait until a year old or so to drag some serious weight...can't remember exactly, but consult your vet!
