Far superior to Peart as a solist.

His floating style is incredible. Have senn him from the 60s up to now. He's the best.

wow!
very nice! thx for posting

A very sympathic man and drummer!

I've seen Jon Hiseman playing with acoustic jazz musicians - playing a small kit (for him!) with a single bass drum, mostly playing brushes. He was still mind blowingly impressive and did an amazing solo. I've probably seen him live more often than any other drummer - and he never fails to impress. Really hard to understand why he doesn't have a larger profile, especially among drummers.

Fantastic as always. Saw him at the Plumpton Festival in 1970. He played the Time Machine for 15 minutes. I can still the hear the beat!

VIVE JON!!! Cheers from France.

Jon used to blow me away in the 60/70s but wow, he's still an active and awesome drummer...... no idea why he's so little known for such an expert in his field

most drummers slow down at old age, they just can't move as fast, but what he shows is that if you keep good form your not impeded at all, if anyhting the experience makes you even better! He and Bill Bruford have proven that

amazing.
ich war am freitag bei einem konzert von colosseum. es war unglaublich und sein solo war gigangtisch, 10 mal besser als das hier.
außerdem hat er mir noch seine bespielten stöcke geschenkt, die eigentlich 30€kosteten,
wirklich freundlicher kerl
By God! After all these years, still can't believe that Jon Hiseman is so overlooked! Leave alone as a great drummer, as a fusion drumming innovator! The english Billy Cobham! Still, this video is proof that instead of striving to continue ralling with the young lions, Jon continues to be highly musical. Thanks for this!

I totally agree with you; my comment only meant that since both he and Cobham are contemporaries, it's incredible still how few drummers know about his musicality and work when compared to Billy's, which are widely recognized. I love both guys' playing, but would keep Jon if I had to choose.
