I think it's really weird that people are bothered by the fact that the couple in the video isn't a lesbian couple. I think really great music can be open to interpretation and mean different things to different people. For instance, this song reminds me of my son I had when I was 19. That isn't what the band intended, but the song has a special place in my heart because of what I associate with it, you know? Plus gay love, straight love...it's all love!

You made a very cute video but you should have made both people girls seeing as how T+S are gay. I understand that the song could apply to a hetero couple, but come on, can't we keep this song the way it was intended?

@sicksicksickness Tegan and Sara's Nineteen is about a couple, one of the people was strongly invested in the relationship, while the other was not. The couple is now saying goodbye/no longer talking, and all the invested person wants is for the other to call them.
