In this scene, which takes place as Dallas and Ash first examine the facehugger, Lambert confronts Ripley for refusing to admit the search party back aboard the ship. this heated scene was dropped, leaving an undertone of tension between the two woman that remains unspecified in the final version.

Alien 5 being a prequel confirmed-:
http://www.totalfilm.com/news/alien-5... ''It's actually a prequel movie that will explain the origins of the space jockey spaceship.''

Plot:
The story begins when the crew of the commercial transport ship Nostromo receive a transmission which might be of nonhuman origin.

They land on the deserted moon Acheron LV-426 and find a derelict spaceship with a dead alien and many large eggs.

Directed by Ridley Scott

I recommend the High Quality version

  • That's not what is generally known as, in a manner of speaking, good quality.

  • I saw the picture of the left side.. Especially the front part of the apc looks quite amazing.. The question is, if that planet is L426 or not.. It probably is, but you never know when it comes to the king of surprise, aka facehugger Scott. There is speculation going about the containers inside the ship.. Apparently they might be changing the dna of the crew, and another question is: what will they look like at the end of the metamorphosis. I hope we get to see a Jockey

  • @etphonehome2915 - there's a good side view i can't post link..

  • @etphonehome2915 - ok looks like you had got the wrong idea :)

to me the whole thing is what i call 'classic sci fi' imagery. some unique details here and there like the egg shaped helmets etc. Refinement in it's depiction rather than revolution. it's all fine by me. "does what it says on the tin".

  • Ok I have found a new picture of the apc, and it shows the side of it, and I was wrong.. It does not look like modern apcs at all.. It was from the trailer I saw the back side of it, and it looked similar to moderns apcs from that angle... It will work and it has alot of details on the side which is great.. Yes wheels is great and so is rovers etc.. Im waiting to se the general concept of the atvs, they might be fine too.

  • @etphonehome2915 -

    ok,

why would a wheeled transport look dramatically different?

its going to have some container, a cockpit, some big wheels (presumably large for all terrain).

    really, whats the problem ??

post some links of how you think they should move around the surface.

wheels work well - if it aint broke, don't fix it!

  • Sure, and let him spoil the entire genre for what, an apc lol. Never, I know his style and it's beyound most other moviemakers. Rovers can be apart of it, sure, but not like this.. But there are different opinions on that subject ofcourse.

  • @etphonehome2915 - the space jockey tech will be the difference, although even there we've seen many iterations of biomechanoid in scifi movies already.

really - if you don't like spaceships, rovers, and biomechanics, watch a different film!!

  • @etphonehome2915 - technology stays simple unless it needs to get complex

in alien they have always had contrast between human technology of metal plastic glass with the alien biotechnology. "if it aint broke, don't fix it". a spacecraft looks futuristic because it has to do something completely different to a car, boat, or aircraft, but there's no inherent reason a wheeled transport should look much different 300 years from now compared to today.

  • He should have changed it way more.. You can ofcourse use wheels and also 3x3 or 4x4 etc, but the outside of it should be something else. There are a ton of ways to do that.. The atvs' look excactly like present day models which could have been changes easily also.
